Whether you’re looking for something to get you in the fall mood or need something to watch while cooking for Thanksgiving, these are the shows for you.
Over the Garden Wall:
In this charming, one-season, animated series, follow two lost siblings as they try to make their way back to their home through a whimsical forest. Meet Wirt, the older of the two who can’t seem to catch a break, and Greg, the optimistic and easily distracted companion. As you make your way through the show and they make their way through this forest, you both discover it might be hiding a few more sinister secrets than it appears. With charming animation and a gorgeous classical soundtrack, it’s the perfect show to watch through November. Available on Hulu, Prime Video, and Apple TV.

Hilda:
A show based on the comics by Luke Pearson about a wild child who explores the mountains, streams, and magic of the forest near her cabin in the meadows just outside of Trollberg, a nearby city. She meets spirits, both friendly and dangerous, and makes friends along the way. Each episode is a new adventure, so it’s easy to jump in whenever. Watch this three-season animated show on Netflix only.

Gravity Falls:
With a summer camp vibe, this two-season show is charming and funny with a twist. Dipper and Mabel are sent to their great-uncle’s Mystery Shack for gullible tourists in Gravity Falls, Oregon, to work and spend time with him. Little do they know, they’re in for the weirdest summer in history, with everything from vicious gnomes to possessed puppets. There’s something awry in Gravity Falls, and if anyone can find out what it is, it’s the twins. Watch on Disney+ and Hulu.
